The aim of the present study was to examine the factor structure and psychometric properties of the short version of the Children’s Somatization Inventory (CSI-24) in Poland. The CSI-24 is a self-report questionnaire designed to assess somatic symptoms in children and adolescents. A total of 733 children and adolescents, aged 12 to 17 years, participated in this research. The participants for this study were recruited from urban and suburban schools of Opole province in South Western Poland. Objective: To evaluate prognostic factors in pediatric patients with gonadal germ cell tumors (GCT). Methods: Patients <18 years with ovarian and testicular GCT (respectively OGCT and TGCT) were prospectively registered according to the guidelines of MAKEI 96. After resection of the primary tumor, patients staged ≥II received risk-stratified cisplatin-based combination chemotherapy. Cel pracy. Ocena stanu szkieletu u dzieci i młodzieży z cukrzycą typu 1 przy użyciu ilościowej metody ultradźwiękowej paliczków dłoni. Materiał i metody. W badaniu wzięło udział 152 pacjentów, 82 chłopców i 70 dziewcząt z cukrzycą typu 1, w wieku – średnio: dziewczęta 13,11±2,93, chłopcy 12,89±3,12. Średni czas trwania choroby wynosił u dziewcząt 4,66±2,43, a u chłopców 4,19±2,36 lata. Średnia wartość hemoglobiny glikowanej HbA1c w dniu badania wynosiła w grupie dziewcząt 7,1±1,3%, a w grupie chłopców 7,2±1,2%.
